He seeks to create an environment in which his students may develop their personal worldviews and theological understandings. He truly lives out the implications of holistic eschatology.Michellehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15747507963078926811noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11514345.post-32119982932025237982008-04-03T08:33:00.000-04:002008-04-03T08:33:00.000-04:00Here's a link to a great excerpt from Wright's boo...Here's a link to a great excerpt from Wright's book, Surprised by Hope, at Christianity Today.
http://www.christianitytoday.com/ct/2008/april/13.36.html
What's great about the excerpt is that Wright draws out the implications of this view of redemption for living now.Dreadwalkhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16953769125933570683noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11514345.post-1519911072586494012008-02-29T16:43:00.000-05:002008-02-29T16:43:00.000-05:00Right on, man! So much of our theology comes from Hymns and songs that it's just taken for granted that "Heaven" is the goal and that all we'll do there is sing praises to God. But as you note, this is quite absent from Genesis 1-2 and Revelation 21-22.

Blessings,
JMSJMShttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04764107457421094503noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11514345.post-50614165505813837052008-02-29T16:39:00.000-05:002008-02-29T16:39:00.000-05:00Thanks for bring attention to the Middleton articl...Thanks for bring attention to the Middleton article. I came across it last NOV when I mentioned Wright's view that heaven wasn't the goal to my Invitation to the NT class and was asked to provide something that people could review and study. Right now I am exegeting the NT texts that M cites...for a class discussion in mid-Mar. Hope to have Wright's book read in the next two weeks...this is such an interesting [but potentially flak-drawing] topic...Bill Chttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17944550699851110240noreply@blogger.com
